The Prof. Paulo Roberto de Souza Mendes, from GReo/DEM/PUC-Rio, was awarded the title of “Fellow of the Society of Rheology”. The SoR Fellow is given annually to researchers who stand out in the field of Rheology, by the Society of Rheology, USA. The Prof. Paulo R. de Souza Mendes received this distinction due to his numerous contributions to the science of rheology and also for his importance in creating the rheology community here in Brazil.
